What is Tessera?
An A/B testing tool for your website. You make a variant of a page, with the AI in the Studio or yourself in code, and Tessera shows it to part of your visitors. The report tells you which version works better.
Do I need a developer?
No. You add a script to your site once, then you make variants in the chat. If you can write code yourself, you can do that too, in the Code tab.
Which sites does it work on?
Any site where you can put a script in the <head>: Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, your own HTML or through Google Tag Manager.
Will it slow down my site?
The script is small and only does what is needed. Your visitor sees the right version right away, without the original flickering first.
Does it work with my cookie banner?
Yes. Your banner passes the visitor’s choice on to Tessera. Without consent, Tessera still shows the variants but only counts anonymously: no visitor ID and no data per person. Those anonymous counts never count towards the winner.
When is there a winner?
Only when every version has at least 50 visitors and 10 conversions, the test ran for at least 7 days, and the chance that the variant does better is at least 99%. With more variants, that bar is higher.
How many variants can I test?
At most 4 variants live at the same time per experiment, and at most 5 running experiments per page.
What are credits?
You only use credits for AI: the chat in the Studio and making variants. Traffic, measuring and the script never cost credits. Plan credits are valid for one month.
How do I start for free?
Create an account, confirm your email address and add the script to your site. As soon as the script counts the first visitor, you get your trial credits: enough for your first experiment, once per domain.
Can I cancel?
Yes, monthly. Your plan runs until the end of the paid month.
Where is my data stored?
The database is in the EU (Paris). Some services, such as the AI model, work outside the EU. Which ones, and what they receive, is in our privacy policy.
What language is the app in?
The app is in Dutch for now. English is coming.
